How much does hypnotherapy cost in Calgary?
You're not really asking what we charge. You're asking if you're about to get ripped off. Fair worry. Here's the truth. A session at Calgary Hypnosis Center is $220 to $350. The price depends on how complex your case is. Most cases sit at the low end. We ask for a 3-session commitment paid up front. That's $660 to $1,050 total. After those 3 sessions, you stop. No more bills. No package to finish. You can come back if you want. You don't have to.

Our honest-pricing pledge
If hypnotherapy is not working for you, we will be the first to tell you. We don't believe in milking. Other Calgary places lock you into 10 sessions. We follow the research. Most people are done in 2 to 3 sessions. That's why the commitment is exactly 3. And only 3.
Why exactly 3?
We looked at 158 Google reviews from 24 Calgary hypnotherapy practices. On average, clients said they got better in 2.4 sessions. So we built the commitment to match.
Average across 158 published Google reviews of 24 Calgary hypnotherapy practitioners. The range was 1 to 5 sessions. Our 3-session commitment was built to match that number.

What's not included, and never will be:
- No subscription. No package to finish. No lifetime anything.

Danny M., RCH is ARCH-registered (Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists of Canada). For the broader picture of what we do in Calgary, see the Calgary local hub and service overview.
We serve clients across the city. Beltline, downtown core, Eau Claire, Mission, and Bridgeland book in-person most often. Clients further out in Tuscany, Auburn Bay, Cranston, McKenzie Towne, or Airdrie usually pick virtual. The price is the same either way.
Are other Calgary hypnotherapists cheaper than you?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and 14 of 19 won't even show you their price. Here's what we found when we surveyed every Calgary hypnotherapy practice we could.
14 of the 19 Calgary practices we surveyed won't show you their price until you book a call.
14/19
hide their price
You have to call to find out.
5/19
publish their price
$220, $235, $250, $250, $250.
1/19
has a lock-in package
10-session bundle, no refund.
1/19
publishes a refund policy
The other 18 don't say.

We pulled prices and policies from 19 Calgary hypnotherapy practices in 2026. Here is what we found.
14 of 19 Calgary practitioners hide their price. That's 74%. You have to call or email to find out what they charge. Most Calgary practices make you do that. We don't.
5 of 19 publish their price. The published rates are $220, $235, $250, $250, and $250. The median is $250. We sit at the low end of that band.
1 of 19 has tiered pricing. The tiers run $250, $350, $425, and $500. That's the only practitioner in Calgary using a tiered model like ours.
1 of 19 sells a package. It's an $850 Full Program. That's the only package in the city. The old story that Calgary is full of 10-session lock-in shops? Not quite true. The real Calgary story is hidden pricing, not packages.
0 of 19 offer sliding scale. Including us. We'll get to what to do instead in the budget-tier section.
7 of 19 offer a free consultation. That's 37%. We're in that group. The free 15-minute call is real and short.
1 of 19 publishes a written cancellation policy. We're the second. The full policy is in Section 6 below.
74% of publicly-listed Calgary hypnotherapy practices do not display per-session pricing on their website. Among the 5 who do, the published median is $250. CHC at $220 sits below that median for straightforward cases.
Source: Verified Hypnotherapists directory survey, 2026-05
So where does our $220 to $350 sit? $220 matches the lowest published Calgary rate from a credentialed practitioner. $350 sits below the premium tier of $425 to $500. We are mid-market on the high end and below median on the low end.
The RCH credential matters here. 7 of 19 Calgary practitioners are ARCH-registered. That's 37%. Of the 5 who publish their price, most carry the ARCH-registered RCH credential. The undisclosed-price group has fewer credentials on average. Not always. Just often.
One more pattern from the data. The Calgary practices that publish their price tend to publish their cancellation policy too. They tend to publish credentials with registry links. They tend to offer a free consult. It travels together. A practice that's open about price is usually open about the rest.
The flip side is also true. Hidden pricing tends to come with vague credentials, no cancellation policy, and a paid first call. That's the pattern across 14 of the 19 practices we looked at. Not every one of them. But most.
How we decide YOUR price between $220 and $350
You want to know which number applies to you. Here's how we decide.

The $220 to $350 range has three rough tiers. We name your tier on the free 15-minute call before you book. No surprises later.
$220 = straightforward
One issue. Clear goal. Habit change, time-bound phobia (MRI, flight, exam), smoking cessation, sleep onset. Most cases sit here. This is where the math is cleanest.
$280 = mid-complexity
Anxiety with some prior treatment history. Sleep with comorbid issues. Performance work with layered patterns. The intake takes longer. The session arc is more careful. Still inside the 3-session commitment.
$350 = complex
Trauma-adjacent. Multi-symptom. IBS with anxiety. Chronic pain with depression. These cases need more careful intake and integration. The work is harder to deliver. The price reflects that, not your wallet.
Virtual and in-person Calgary sessions cost the same. 60 minutes each. First session and follow-ups cost the same. No intake premium. Nothing hidden.
You'll know your tier on the free 15-minute call. That's the whole point of the call. You leave with a real number, not a "starts at" number.
Three questions cut through most of the hidden-pricing fog:
- What is the per-session price? Tell me on the phone. If they dodge, that's the answer.
- Is the intake session priced the same as follow-ups? Some Calgary practices charge a 50% premium on intake. Ours doesn't.
- What is your written cancellation policy? 1 of 19 Calgary practitioners publishes one. Ask anyway.
A practice that won't answer these on the phone is telling you something. Listen.
Want to know your tier? Book the free 15-minute call.
A short conversation. We name your tier. You leave with a real number. No hypnosis on the call. No sales pitch. No pressure.
Book free 15-minute consult βDoes hypnotherapy actually work, and how many sessions will I need?
You're worried about two things. One: does hypnotherapy actually work? Two: am I about to be sold more sessions than I need? Here's the honest answer to both.
Across 158 Google reviews, the average Calgary client said they got better in 2.4 sessions.
Does hypnotherapy actually work?
Short version: yes, for the conditions it's evidence-based for. Long version: it depends on what you have and how well you respond to focused attention work.
Conditions with the strongest research support:
- Smoking cessation
- Anxiety (APA-recognized evidence-based intervention)
- IBS symptom relief (NICE-recommended in the UK)
- Sleep onset and insomnia
- Specific phobias (MRI, flight, exam, dental)
- Pain and habit change (APA-listed)
Where hypnotherapy is not a fit β we'll say no on the free call:
- Active psychosis
- Acute trauma without a primary therapist
- Severe dissociation
- Court-mandated treatment
- Certain cognitive deficits
How effective is it for the cases we take? In a 2026 review of 158 Google reviews across 24 Calgary practices:
- 51% of recent clients mentioned the work was "worth it" unprompted
- 60% was the median across practices
- 0.86 average sentiment score (0 to 1 scale)
None of these numbers are perfect. All of them are independent.
The honest caveat: if you can't get absorbed in a movie or you struggle to follow a guided audio, your hypnotizability score is probably on the lower end. The work will still help, just not as fast.
How long does hypnotherapy take?
- Most clients see a clear shift inside 2 to 3 sessions
- Some are done in 1
- A few need 6 to 10
The total course depends on how the case is set up, not on how long we want to keep you. We don't pad. We don't stretch.
How many sessions does the Calgary data show?
We looked at 158 Google reviews from 24 Calgary hypnotherapy practices:
- 2.4 sessions average to client-reported improvement
- 1 to 5 sessions typical range
- 9 of 24 practitioners had explicit session counts in their reviews
That's the whole reason our commitment is 3. Not 6. Not 10. Three matches what people actually report needing.
Session counts by case type
| Case type | Sessions | Inside the 3-session commitment? | Typical total spend |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quit smoking | 1 β 2 | β Yes | $660 β $1,050 |
| Habit change (nail-biting, hair-pulling) | 2 β 3 | β Yes | $660 β $1,050 |
| Time-bound fear (MRI, flight, exam) | 1 β 3 | β Yes | $660 β $1,050 |
| Anxiety | 3 β 5 | ~ +1-2 add-ons | $880 β $1,750 |
| Sleep | 3 β 5 | ~ +1-2 add-ons | $880 β $1,750 |
| IBS with anxiety | 5 β 7 | ~ +2-4 add-ons | $1,320 β $2,450 |
| Chronic pain support | 5 β 7 | ~ +2-4 add-ons | $1,320 β $2,450 |
Chronic pain support is always alongside your existing care team, not in place of it.
One recent Calgary client
IBS with anxiety. Mid-30s. Downtown office job. Two years of on-and-off symptoms. We priced the case at $280 per session. The 3-session commitment came to $840 paid up front.
Symptoms eased by session 2. Held through session 3. No add-ons. Total spend: $840.
Under a 10-session lock-in at the same per-session rate, that client would have paid $2,800 up front. The vignette is composite and anonymous. The dollar amounts and session counts are real.
What if I want my money back?
You pay $660 to $1,050 up front. What if life happens, or it's not working? Here's exactly what we do.
Only 1 of 19 Calgary practitioners publishes a written cancellation policy. We're the second. That's the gap we're trying to close.
If session 3 isn't needed, you can defer it, use it as a check-in, or get it refunded.

Miss a session with 48 hours notice
Rescheduled at no charge. Pick a new time. Done.
Miss with less than 48 hours
50% credit toward your next session. You don't lose the full fee.
No-show
Full charge. But the session is still yours to use within 90 days. We don't pocket the money and disappear.
Something serious (illness, family emergency, death in the family)
We pause the commitment. No questions. You get the full balance back if you can't come back within 12 months.
You decide hypnotherapy isn't for you after session 1
Full refund of the unused 2 sessions. No pushback. Your money back.
After session 2 you can't name a single change
See the next section. We tell you to stop. We don't sell you a third session you don't need.
Why publish this? Most Calgary practices don't. Most clients don't ask until they need to. By then it's too late. So here it is, in writing, before you book.
The point of a written policy is that you don't have to negotiate when you're already having a hard week. Pre-decided rules protect you. They also protect us from accidentally being unfair under pressure. Both sides win when the rules are written down before anyone is upset.
If you ever have a situation that isn't covered above, raise it directly. We've never had a refund or reschedule conversation that ended badly. Mostly because we don't try to win those conversations. The point is to do right by the client. The policy is the floor, not the ceiling.
Should I just use the Reveri app instead?
For some people, yes. For others, no. Here's the honest cost-vs-outcome comparison between the Reveri app, an in-person Calgary hypnotherapist, and traditional CBT therapy.
Reveri app: $20 to $90. Calgary Hypnosis Center: $660 to $1,050. CBT therapy in Calgary: $1,800 to $5,000.
Total cost to feel better (6-week course)
Reveri app
$20 β $90
Calgary Hypnosis Center
$660 β $1,050
Calgary lock-in package shop
$2,500 β $4,250
CBT therapy in Calgary
$1,800 β $5,000
Bars scaled to the high end of each range. Pricing current as of 2026-05.

Four real options. Different price shapes. Different fits. Pricing is current as of 2026-05.
| Option | Per unit | Typical total cost | Up-front commitment | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reveri app | $15 to $65 per month | $20 to $90 over about 6 weeks | None. Cancel any time. | Mild stress, daily practice, tight budget |
| CBT therapy in Calgary | $150 to $250 per session | $1,800 to $5,000 (12 to 20 sessions) | Open-ended, pay session by session | Talk-based work, longer course |
| Typical Calgary practice (hidden price) | $220 to $250 published. $80 to $350 wider market. | Unknown. 14 of 19 wonβt tell you the price online. | Varies. Usually undisclosed up front. | Hard to evaluate without a phone call |
| Calgary Hypnosis Center | $220 to $350 per session | $660 to $1,050 (3-session commitment, optional add-ons after) | 3 sessions only, paid up front | Published pricing, research-based pacing, no lock-in |
The quick decision tree:
- Budget tight, mild case β try Reveri first ($90 for 6 weeks). We'll wait. Full Reveri review.
- Want talk-based cognitive work β CBT with a Calgary psychologist (often covered by Alberta paramedical). CBT and hypnotherapy pair well β clients often do both.
- Want targeted, fewer sessions, no lock-in β CHC 3-session commitment ($660 to $1,050).
- Quoted a 10-session lock-in at $2,500+ β walk.
The "typical Calgary practice (hidden price)" row above is the new villain on this page. Not lock-in packages. Hidden pricing. 14 of 19 practices won't tell you what they charge online. That's the cost red flag worth caring about. See also the apps-versus-hypnotherapist comparison.
Run your specific numbers in a free 15-minute call
A short conversation. We map your case to a tier. We name a realistic session count. You leave with a real number. No hypnosis on the call.
Book free 15-minute consult βWhy is hypnotherapy in Calgary so expensive?
You're wondering why it's $220 and not $80. Or why we ask for 3 sessions and not 10 for a "deal." Three things drive the price. None of them are markup.
Three is the research number. Not six. Not ten. Three, and only three.
Driver 1
Credential
ARCH-registered RCH. Below ~$180/session in Calgary, the practitioner is making less than minimum wage once you count prep and admin. That's why the cheapest practices are often uncredentialed.
Driver 2
Specialty
Specialty trained for anxiety, IBS, sleep, and pain. Not generalist hypnosis. Higher hit-rate, fewer total sessions, lower total spend.
Driver 3
No upsell math
3 sessions Γ $280 = $840. 10 sessions Γ $150 lock-in = $1,500. The lock-in practice looks cheaper per session. You pay more in total.

The reason for 3 isn't a guess. We looked at 158 Calgary reviews. The average client said they got better in 2.4 sessions. So we built the commitment to match the data.
Why $220 to $350? The number absorbs everything:
- ARCH-registered RCH credential
- Specialty trained for anxiety, IBS, sleep, and pain
- In-person Calgary or virtual across Canada
- No admin fees. No upsells.
Why not $80? Below about $180 per session in Calgary, the practitioner is making less than minimum wage once you count prep time and admin. That's why the cheapest practices are often uncredentialed or rushed.
We charge for our cost to deliver. Not for your vulnerability. Some Calgary practices charge what the desperate-person market will bear. We don't.
Cheap per session is not the same as cheap total
Do the math:
- CHC: 3 sessions Γ $280 = $840 total
- Lock-in practice: 10 sessions Γ $150 = $1,500 total
The lock-in practice looks cheaper per session. You pay $660 more in total. And you commit more money up front, with less information.
What happens after the 3 sessions
You're worried about a forever-bill. There isn't one. Most clients are done at 3 sessions, get the result, stop paying us, and go live their life.
If you want to keep working with us:
- Pay-as-you-go at $220 to $350 per session β book when you need
- No subscription. No maintenance package. No "lifetime" anything.
- Optional self-hypnosis audios ($220 for 6 recordings) β most clients don't need them
Most people who finish the 3-session commitment don't pay us another dollar. That's the design.
I only have $500. What should I do?
You have a budget. Here's how to spend it smart, even if that means not spending it on us. Pick the tier that matches what you can actually pay.
With $1,000, CHC fits. With $500, start with Reveri. With $2,000+, more options open up.
Under $500
Start with Reveri
$15 to $65/month for 6 weeks. Total ~$90.
- βMild stress, sleep, habit nudges
- βCancel any time
- βNot for trauma, IBS, complex anxiety
$500 β $1,000 Β· Best fit
CHC 3-session commitment
$660 to $1,050 total. Three sessions, then stop.
- βSmoking, habits, time-bound phobias
- βRefundable session 3 if not needed
- βRCH-credentialed, ARCH-registered
$1,000 β $2,000
Commitment + add-ons
3 sessions plus 2 or 3 more if needed.
- βAnxiety with prior treatment history
- βIBS with anxiety, chronic pain support
- βRealistic ceiling for complex cases
Above $2,000
Ask why
Almost no Calgary client should be spending this on hypnotherapy.
- βIf quoted $3,000+, something is off
- βLikely a lock-in package
- βSee the red flags section
We'd rather you spend $90 on Reveri and skip us than spend $1,500 on a 10-session package somewhere else. That's not a marketing line. That's the practical answer for a mild case on a tight budget.
How do I avoid getting ripped off by a Calgary hypnotherapist?
You think the big Calgary red flag is 10-session lock-ins. It's not. Only 1 of 19 practices actually has a package. The real Calgary red flag is hidden pricing. 14 of 19 won't tell you the price online. Use this checklist before you book anywhere.
Hidden pricing is the single biggest red flag in Calgary hypnotherapy.
Before you book: the 60-second checklist
- βPublished per-session price on the website. If you can't see a number without booking a call, walk.
- βPublished cancellation and refund policy. Only 1 of 19 Calgary practices has one.
- βVerifiable credential (ARCH-registered RCH, with a registry link).
- βFree consultation with no hypnosis on the call.
- βPer-session price below $100. Usually uncredentialed.
- βPer-session price above $500 without a clear specialty answer.
- β"Guaranteed cure" or "lifetime results." No honest practitioner promises this.
- β10-session lock-in package paid up front. The research says 2 to 3 sessions, not 10.
- βPressure to decide on the consult call. Limited-time pricing is a sales tactic, not a clinical one.
- βHidden fees (recording, intake, materials, cancellation surcharges).

1. Hidden pricing (the big one)
If a practice won't put the price on the website, it's usually one of these:
- They want you on a call so they can sell you up
- They charge different people different prices
- They want to know your budget before they quote
- They're embarrassed by the price, either too high or too low
None of these are good reasons. A practice that doesn't publish a price is asking you to trust them before they've earned it.
2. Prices below $100 per session in Calgary
- Usually uncredentialed
- Often rushed
- Cheap per session usually means more sessions overall β total spend goes up
3. Prices above $500 without a clear specialty
The flip side. Above $500 per session, you should hear:
- A specific protocol (gut-directed, EMDR-adjacent, etc.)
- A documented training
- A real evidence-supported niche
If the answer is vague, the premium is positioning, not substance.
4. "Guaranteed cure" or "lifetime results"
No serious practitioner guarantees an outcome. The honest answer is always a probability range. Guaranteed-anything in this field is a sales line, not a clinical one.
5. Pressure to commit on the consult call
The free consult is for fit. The decision to commit happens after, with time to think. Watch for:
- "Limited-time pricing"
- "Decide today or the slot is gone"
- Hard upsell to a bigger package before you've had one session
6. No published cancellation or refund policy
1 of 19 Calgary practitioners publishes one. Ask anyway. If they can't tell you clearly what happens when you have to miss, you're guessing with your money.
7. Hidden fees
Ask up front what the session price includes. Common surprise charges:
- Recording fees billed separately
- Intake fees on top of the session fee
- Materials fees (audios, workbooks)
- Cancellation fees you weren't told about
At CHC, the price includes everything.
Try this. Email three Calgary hypnotherapy practices. Ask each one a simple question: "What is your per-session price?"
See how many give you a straight number. Most won't. They'll ask you to book a call. They'll talk about "investment" or "tailored fit." That's the dodge. It's data about how they run.
The practices that answer the question in one sentence are the ones worth a second email. The rest have already told you what they're like.
One more thing on red flags. If a Calgary practitioner refuses to publish a price because they "individualize" the fee for each client, ask exactly what they mean by that. A complexity-tiered range like ours is published. A "we decide based on your situation" pitch is not a range. It's a quote built around your perceived ability to pay. Those are different things.
The strongest signal of a fair Calgary practice is the same as the strongest signal of a fair anything. A published price. A published policy. A real credential with a registry link you can verify. None of these are exotic. All three together are rare. They're rare because most practices don't bother. That's the gap this page is trying to close.
Will my Alberta insurance cover this?
You're hoping the answer is yes. Mostly it's no. Here's exactly what your plan will and won't pay for.
Alberta extended-health plans generally do not cover hypnotherapy. Some Wellness Spending Accounts will.
| Plan type | Covers hypnotherapy? | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Alberta extended-health (paramedical) | β No | Hypnotherapy is not on Alberta paramedical lists. |
| Wellness Spending Account (WSA) | ~ Sometimes | Depends on plan design. Submit receipt with ARCH number. |
| Health Spending Account (HSA) | β Usually no | HSAs follow CRA's regulated-practitioner rule. |
| Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC) | β No | Requires a regulated practitioner in your province. |
| GST/HST exemption | β No | Unless your practitioner is dual-credentialed. |
| Self-employed business expense | ~ Possibly | If clearly tied to work performance. Ask your accountant. |

Hypnotherapy is generally not covered by Alberta extended-health insurance plans. Always confirm with your insurer before booking.
Why? Insurance paramedical lists track provincially regulated professions:
- Physiotherapy is regulated β covered
- Psychology is regulated β covered
- Hypnotherapy is not regulated in Alberta β not covered
Hypnotherapy is a complementary modality, not regulated under Alberta's Health Professions Act. The RCH credential through ARCH-Canada is a quality signal, not a government licence.
What sometimes works
- Wellness Spending Accounts (WSAs) at some employers β broader than paramedical lists
- Some WSAs accept hypnotherapy receipts under stress management or behavioural change
- We provide detailed receipts with the ARCH registration number
- Self-employed clients sometimes deduct as a business expense if work ties to job performance
What never works
- Standard paramedical reimbursement β hypnotherapy isn't on the list
- Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC) β requires a regulated practitioner
- GST/HST exemption β unless your practitioner is dual-credentialed
What to do in 5 minutes
- Phone your insurer.
- Ask if they cover Counselling Therapy or hypnotherapy under WSA.
- Get the answer in writing if you can (email or portal note).
For the deeper picture, see the Alberta and Canadian hypnotherapy insurance reality, the HSA and WSA coverage deep dive, or the CRA tax-deductibility deep dive.
Hypnotherapy is generally not covered by Alberta extended-health insurance plans. Some clients can claim under a Wellness Spending Account if their employer plan includes one. Always confirm with your insurer before booking.

Can I talk to someone before I commit?
Yes. 15 minutes. Free. No hypnosis on the call.
37% of Calgary practitioners offer a free consult. We're in that group. 7 of 19. The rest charge for the first call or skip it entirely.
15 minutes. No pressure. No hypnosis. Just a fit check.
What you get
- βA real conversation about what you're dealing with
- βAn honest answer on whether hypnotherapy fits your case
- βA referral if we're not the right call (Reveri, a Calgary psychologist, or someone else)
- βStraight answers on cost, sessions, WSA, refund policy
- βPhone or virtual, Mountain time zone, usually within the week
What you won't get
- βA hypnosis induction on the call
- βA sales pitch or limited-time pricing
- βPressure to commit before you hang up
- βA bill for the call (it's free)
- βA stopwatch β if 15 minutes runs short, we keep talking

Format: phone or virtual. Your choice. Mountain time zone scheduling. Most calls happen within the week.
You can ask anything. Common questions: how does the 3-session commitment work? what if I'm done in 2? what's the cancellation policy? does my WSA accept this? The answers are direct.
To book, see the intake form (free 15-minute consult before any commitment) or read what happens in the free 15-minute consult for the full walk through.
The bottom line if you're budgeting hypnotherapy in Calgary
Here's what I'd tell a family member if they asked me this same question.
If your case is mild and your budget is tight, try Reveri for about $90 first. If you want to work with a credentialed in-person practitioner in Calgary, you should expect to pay $660 to $1,050 for 3 sessions and very rarely more. If you're being quoted a 10-session lock-in or you can't see a published price on the website, walk.
Most Calgarians who need this work are done in 2 to 3 sessions, and the practice you pick should be built around that reality, not around the cost of their lease.
More questions Calgarians ask us about cost
The questions that come up most often at Calgary intake. Plain answers.
Why does CHC ask for a 3-session commitment up front?
Because the data says 3 is the right number. We looked at 158 Google reviews from 24 Calgary hypnotherapy practices. On average, clients said they got better in 2.4 sessions. The range was 1 to 5. So we built the 3-session commitment to match. Not 6. Not 10. Three. We follow the research, and the research says most people are done by then.
What if I am done in 2 sessions but I paid for 3?
You talk to the practitioner. The third session can be used as a 30-day check-in. It can be deferred. Or it can be refunded. Your call. We will not push you into a session you do not need. That is the whole point of the 3-session commitment, and only 3.
What if hypnotherapy isn't working after session 2?
We tell you first. Before you book a third session. If progress is not visible by session 2, we either change the approach, refer you to someone better suited, or stop. We will be the first to tell you. We don't believe in milking. That is the honest-pricing pledge in plain action.
Why is hypnotherapy not covered like physiotherapy in Alberta?
Regulation, not merit. Physiotherapy, chiropractic, and psychology are regulated under provincial colleges. Hypnotherapy is not. Insurers tie paramedical lists to provincial regulation. No regulation, no list. Hypnotherapy is a complementary modality, not regulated under Alberta's Health Professions Act. The work is real. The regulatory hook is not. That gap explains the coverage gap.
Is hypnotherapy worth $220 to $350 a session in Calgary?
Depends on your case. The Calgary data: 51% of recent review clients said it was worth it on average, with a median of 60%. Average resolution at 2.4 sessions. For a simple case, 3 sessions at $220 totals $660. If the work lands, that math wins. For complex cases or mild ones, see the budget-tier guide above. Sometimes the right answer is Reveri at $15 per month.
Do you offer package discounts beyond the 3-session commitment?
No. We don't believe in lock-in packages. After the 3-session commitment, every session is pay-as-you-go at $220 to $350. We charge for our cost to deliver, not for your vulnerability. A 10-session lock-in looks cheaper per session and costs you more in total. The 3-session commitment is the only commitment.
Are sliding-scale or pro-bono hypnotherapy options available in Calgary?
Zero of 19 Calgary practitioners offer sliding scale. Including us. It's an honest gap in the city. If cost is the hard limit, try Reveri at $15 to $65 per month first. Alberta Health Services also runs low-cost counselling at addiction and mental health clinics for related issues. The free 15-minute consult is the no-cost touchpoint at our end.
Is virtual hypnotherapy cheaper than in-person at CHC?
Same price. Virtual and in-person Calgary sessions cost the same. The work is the same. The session is 60 minutes either way. Some practices discount virtual. Some charge a premium for in-person. We charge a flat $220 to $350 either way, based on case complexity only.
How does Calgary pricing compare to Vancouver or Toronto?
Roughly comparable. Calgary's published median is $250 per session. Vancouver and Toronto sit slightly above on cost-of-living grounds. Calgary, Ottawa, and Montreal sit near the national middle. Virtual delivery has flattened the geographic premium over the last few years. Where you live matters less than what your practitioner actually delivers.
Can I split the 3-session commitment into installments?
Yes, if you ask at intake. The default is one upfront payment of $660 to $1,050 for the package. If installments are a real constraint, raise it on the free 15-minute consult. We will work something out. We will not pressure you to commit if the payment shape does not work for your situation.
If your Calgary cost question is not above, the free 15-minute call is the right place to ask it. Start the intake (free 15-min consult available) for a direct conversation before any commitment. For the broader national comparison, see the Canadian hypnotherapy cost comparison.
